If you're friends with me on Facebook, you may have seen this post from a few days ago:
Factoring in the level of activity:
Assuming I consume an average of 2,500 calories each day;
Since 1lb of fat is approx. 3,500 calories, to lose 1kg of fat I would need to burn 7,716.17 calories ( 1kg = 2.20462 lbs ). The target is to lose 1 kg in a week (7 days), so in addition to the excess calories calculated earlier, I would need to lose an extra 1,102.386 calories per day.
Hence, total calories to burn each day in order to meet my target:
So, for each case, the number of hours, each day, I need to wear the Premium Beautiful corset:
The beauty about integrating the Premium Beautiful corset into my weight loss plan is that on my "off days", I can just wear the corset longer to offset the effects of me eating too much or being a couch potato. Of course, I'll try my best to be disciplined and watch what I eat etc. Wish me luck!

This got me thinking... if the Premium Beautiful corset can burn 900 calories per hour, how long do I have to wear it each day to achieve my target? Ideally, I would like to lose about 10kg. You might think that's too much, but if I lost 10kg my BMI would still be within the ideal/normal range.. just on the lower side, bordering on skinny. Haha. OK, so now that I've established how much I want to lose.. how fast do I want to lose it? I personally think that 1kg a week is reasonable.
So, the target is to lose 10kg in 10 weeks. Totally doable even without Premium Beautiful... as long as I have the will power to resist fattening food and the discipline to workout 3-5 days a week... for 10 weeks. Hehe.. So using Premium Beautiful would help me stay on course even when I give in to temptation or get a little lazy.
OK. Back to the main question. How may hours a day do I need to wear the Premium Beautiful corset to lose 10kg in 10 weeks? Let's do the math...
First, I calculated my BMR (basal metabolic rate - the amount of calories your body burns at rest for basic functioning) using the Harris Benedict Equation:
BMR Calculation for Women:
655 + (4.35 × weight in pounds) + (4.7 × height in inches) – (4.7 × age in years)
Hence,
My BMR = 1,385.616 calories/day
Factoring in the level of activity:
Case #1: little/no exercise = BMR × 1.2 = 1,662.739 calories/day
Case #2: moderate exercise (3-5 days a week) = BMR × 1.55 = 2,147.705 calories/day
Assuming I consume an average of 2,500 calories each day;
Case #1: Excess calories = 2,500 – 1,662.739 = 837.261 calories/day
Case #2: Excess calories = 2,500 - 2,147.705 = 352.295 calories/day
Since 1lb of fat is approx.
Case #1: Total to burn = 837.261 + 1,102.386 = 1,939.647 calories/day
Case #2: Total to burn = 352.295 + 1,102.386 = 1,454.681 calories/day
So, for each case, the number of hours, each day, I need to wear the Premium Beautiful corset:
Case #1: No. of hours per day = 1,939.647 calories ÷ 900 calories/hour = 2.16 hours (approx. 2 hours and 10 minutes)
Case #2: No. of hours per day = 1,454.681 calories ÷ 900 calories/hour = 1.62 hours (approx. 1 hour and 37 minutes)
The beauty about integrating the Premium Beautiful corset into my weight loss plan is that on my "off days", I can just wear the corset longer to offset the effects of me eating too much or being a couch potato. Of course, I'll try my best to be disciplined and watch what I eat etc. Wish me luck!
XOXO,
Nora.
